Kentucky High School Rodeo Association

Hey guys,
I'm beyond honored to hold the title of Kentucky High School Rodeo Queen this year. This title is not to be taken lightly, and I plan to represent our association in the highest respects throughout my year, expanding its knowledge, forming relationships with other associations, and hopefully gaining new members. Sticking to the NHSRA motto of preserving our western heritage is very important to me, I encourage you to invite as many family members and friends as you can to enjoy the rodeo with us. I have plans for grand entries, themes, and other activities outside the arena. I would also love to hear anyone's ideas on how we should plan and carry out any events.
As this past year was my first in HS rodeo, I should tell you a little about myself. My name is Taylor Davis and I am from the hometown of Bardwell KY. I compete in barrel racing, pole bending, and of course, queen contest. I am from the western region, but as the state queen I hope to get to know those in the central, and help bring the regions together. I strive to be a role model for children and the competitors, our rides may not always go as planned, but we must maintain the highest regard for livestock and hold our head high, knowing there's always another rodeo. Remember two things define you, your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything. Don't hesitate to come to me for help or to introduce yourself at any rodeo. Let's make this the best year yet!
I am going to leave you with one of my favorite bible verses. "Not only so, but we rejoice in our suffering, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us..." Romans 5:3-5
